Best Comedy Movie

Best Comedies You Cannot Miss
Hollywood is the pinnacle of cinema and all great movies are made there. Action, suspense, drama, thriller, comedy, tragedy, animation, horror, musical and romance are the popular genres but out of all, the most enjoyable experience comes from a comedy movie. What can beat the peals of laughter one experiences while watching a movie? Action and drama have their own fancies but comic movies make the mind fresh and kicking. Anybody would prefer a light comic movie at the end of a hectic day rather than watch an action packed thriller.
Over the years, classic comedies have been made and there a few that totally stand out. Movies like “Ground Day”, “The Baxter” and “Office Space” are hilarious and cannot stop the audience from rolling on the floor laughing their minds off. Oldies include “The Life of Brain”, “The Breakfast Club” “Trading Places” and furthermore. These old comedy movies are still ranked very high and people prefer those to new age comic films. As they say, old is gold and this saying applies here very well.
The best comedies are however not based exactly on how much they make you Laugh, it is whether the jokes are new and original or not. Charlie Chaplin’s movies are mute but they make men and women laugh all the time. So did Laurel and Hardy with their amazing dumbness and comic flair. Those actors will always be remembered for their service to the field of comedy. Light hearted comedy movies are what people get to see now and some of them are, “Liar, Liar”, “Road Trip”, “Hangover”, “Wedding Crashers”, “The Girl Next Door” and many others. The best comedy movie ever is said to be the very recent animated film name “Toy Story”. It received very good ratings from critics and viewers and is the highest grossing animated film ever. We all hope that the filmmakers shower us with more and more comedy movies year after year and the laughter never dies, after all it is the best medicine.

The Best of British Comedy – Porridge $6.99 The best jokes, gags and scenes from a true British comedy classic. "Cheer up, could be worse. State the country’s in, we could be free." "Doctor: I want you to fill one of those containers for me. Fletcher (other side of the room): What, from ‘ere?" You can count the number of truly classic British sitcoms on one hand – well, perhaps two. But however many hands you use, Porridge will be one of the first programmes to register for inclusion. Undoubtedly one of the real gems, the prison-based show starring the late Ronnie Barker as the recalcitrant yet loveable rascal, Fletcher, transcends the generations; like any other classic, it remains as accessible and funny today as it did when first aired in the 1970s. Including the pilot, transmitted a year before the first series hit the screen, twenty-one instalments were made, attracting audiences of up to 20 million. Written by those prolific scribes Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais, and brought to life by an estimable bunch of actors, headed by the great Ronnie B as Fletch, a recidivist who spent most of his adult life behind bars, the sitcom quickly attracted plaudits and became a shining example of what good situation comedy is all about. The Best of British Comedy – Porridge includes: The History: an overview of how Porridge was born and developed Gags and Catchphrases: a collection of classic quotes Did You Know?: snippets of info about the show, cast, etc. Favourite scenes: the most memorable scenes in full A Porridge quiz "New Faces, Old Hands" FLETCHER My beloved Isobel. The little woman. Well she aint so little.I said to her the other day, ‘Isobel, I’ll never get over you, I’ll have to get up and go round." |

At the center of this celebrated documentary is the improbable story of a small-town Alabama dentist-turned-cult-movie-icon, and an Italian filmmaker who comes to terms (or doesn’t) with his internationally revered cinematic failure. BEST WORST MOVIE is an affectionate and intoxicatingly fun tribute to the single greatest bad movie ever made and the people responsible for unleashing it on the world. The result is a hilarious and tender offbeat journey that pays homage to lovers of bad movies and the people who make them, while investigating a deeper story about the strange nature of celebrity, the catharsis of redemption and the humanity that exists in making even the worst movie ever made. |
